Large fire and building collapse similar action: Fire department will be incident control. Village responsibilities: Communication with public (facebook, radio, newspapers), assist with securing perimeter (village reps strategically placed to prevent people from entering area), communicate road closures, updates, evacuation orders. Social media communication and door to door will be responsibility of village. For any fire in the winter: providing salt or use of equipment to maintain safety of scene (icing).
Fire Chief will communicate needs to mayor. Mayor will first contact Jason then the rest of the board.
Major weather incident with damage: Fire Department will assist with clean up.
Fire Department can be utilized as shelter in the event of severe weather, flooding, power outage, warming station.
Severe water main break: Fire Department can provide pumps, hoses, lights.
